Master of Public Administration
The College of Charleston Graduate School offers a graduate program that prepares students for public sector management in a variety of settings. This program is committed to enhancing the qualifications and skills of individuals employed in the public sector in the South Carolina Lowcountry, preparing pre-service students for careers in the public sector, and preparing all students for the roles and responsibilities of the administrator in a democratic society. The program's core curriculum is designed to explore the essential elements of public management. Students may choose to focus on nonprofit administration, arts management, municipal government and urban planning, or environmental planning and administration. Master of Science in Environmental Studies
The College of Charleston Graduate School offers an interdisciplinary graduate program designed to meet the needs of students planning careers in the environmental field by preparing students to solve the increasingly complex environmental issues facing society. The interdisciplinary emphasis of the program is established through a carefully designed set of required courses that provide students with an understanding of environmental issues through the disciplines of environmental policy and environmental science. Students focus the remainder of their course of study in one of the available concentrations, allowing them to gain an in-depth understanding of their chosen field. The Peace Corps Master's International (MI) is also an option for students in the MES program.
